I followed their size guidelines and it fit my 8 (almost 9) year old perfect.
The dress is exactly like the picture. The one thing need to note is that you will obviously need to get the dress ironed at the dry cleaners to give it the fluff and get rid of the wrinkles. But regardless of that, its perfect for her 7th birthday party.
